Marjorie is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialty in Eating Disorders. She also has a Master of Public Health and a background in Health Promotion and Wellness. Marjorie enjoys working with children age 11 into adolescence, and adults of all ages, life stages, ethnic and racial background, and gender orientation.
Her clinical areas of expertise include Eating and Feeding Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Depression, Anxiety, OCD, illness & health concerns, life transitions, grief, loss, and trauma-including work with persons with Dissociative issues such as DID. In the area of relationship challenges, Marjorie can assist couples and individuals with school, work, marriage, partnership or family problems.
Marjorie employs assessments, scales, and a blend of therapies to help clients based on individual needs. Therapies utilized are Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, Rogerian, and trauma-informed. She enjoys incorporating techniques of meditation, mindfulness, and self-expression using plants, music, art, and journaling. Marjorie believes respect and trust are realized by creating an environment where all feel safe and comfortable sharing, knowing their thoughts, feelings, and experiences will be held in high regard, and confidentiality appropriately kept.
