Brenda is an  integrative psychotherapist, who has been counseling for 14 years.  Her love of counseling started at an early age and over time her passion to help people and love of learning morphed into establishing a private practice/healing center, Saris Counseling,  in 2009 that offers individual counseling, group counseling, and workshops. Since then Brenda has opened up an additional clinic called Evolve. Evolve is the first Eating Disorder treatment clinic in the Fox Valley.

She specializes in Anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, phobias and OCD), Eating Disorders, Self-esteem and Body Image issues, and Trauma/Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Her counseling style is integrative; taking from several theories of therapy to provide you with the “best fit” treatment for your lifestyle and personality.  

She is certified in EMDR and Brainspotting, both of which are brain based therapies.  Additionally, Brenda achieved the esteemed credential of being a eating disorder specialist and a certified eating disorder supervisor,  these are certifications which is only awarded to practitioners who have extensively contributed to and are educated in the field of eating disorders.

The iaedp-Approved Supervisor is a CEDS, CEDRD, CEDRN or CEDCAT who has 6000+ hours in the treatment of eating disorders and skills to guide professionals in their process towards independent certification. Those who hold this credential are eligible to provide ongoing consultation for professionals who are in the process of becoming certified and to verify the accrued practice hours of these professionals who are treating feeding and eating disorders.
