Kiera graduated from Ripon College with a degree in Psychobiology in 2021. She spent a large portion of her career as a research assistant working on advances in the field of psychoneuroimmunology by focusing on the affects that inflammation has on cognitive processes. After graduating, Kiera spent time working with adults and children with developmental and cognitive disabilities, using environmental enrichment to improve quality of life.
Here at Evolve, Kiera is a community counselor. She loves integrating psychoeducation into her groups, explaining why certain therapeutic approaches work and how both eating disorders and the recovery process can physiologically change the brain. Radical acceptance, positive psychology, and cathartic activities are her cup of tea, which she regularly incorporates into her groups.
Outside of her role at Evolve, Kiera loves trying new coffee shops, shopping for Halloween décor, and spoiling her fur children.
