Adolescent IOP

(ages 12-17, 18yo are considered if still in highschool)

Intensive outpatient program (IOP) is defined as a structured non-residential evening treatment service providing psychotherapy, family therapy and nutritional counseling 4 days per week for up to 12 hours per week. IOP treatment is designed for people who would benefit from more intensive services than are offered at the traditional outpatient level of care, but who do not require partial hospitalization, inpatient psychiatric or residential level of care OR are stepping down from a higher level of care and are in need of additional support and accountability.

IOP provides a comprehensive treatment while allowing people to retain autonomy in their normal day to day activities. So individuals are able to continue with work, school and family life while receiving intensive treatment for their eating disorder.

IOP is offered Monday through Thursday from 3:30-6pm. Tuesday is family therapy day. Both Males and Females attend. For more details see a sample IOP schedule.
