Chelsea holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Saint Norbert College and a master’s degree in community mental health counseling from Lakeland College. Chelsea has completed over 3,000 clinical hours in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
While working at a psychiatric hospital, Chelsea has gained experience working with those with severe and chronic mental health conditions. Chelsea has worked with individuals ranging from pediatric to geriatric, those suffering from co-curing AODA problems, and individuals in both inpatient and intensive outpatient. Through an internship, Chelsea gained skills and knowledge on working in a trauma-based setting with veterans. Chelsea’s therapeutic approach is meeting the client where they are at and validating their experiences. Chelsea’s modalities of treatment include CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. Chelsea participated in a mindfulness workshop while getting certified in equine assisted coaching.
In her free time, Chelsea enjoys spending time with family and friends, her two cats, being outdoors, and expanding her knowledge of mental health through reading.
