Ashley is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about helping people feel empowered, develop self-awareness, and begin the process of healing. Ashley strives to create an open and non-judgmental environment to learn about and form a strong connection with her clients. She believes that therapy is a team effort and seeks to actively collaborate with her clients throughout the course of treatment to ensure that they are meeting their specific goals.
Ashley primarily uses a strengths-based, client-centered approach in therapy because she understands that each person is unique. Ashley is creative in sessions and draws on various therapeutic strategies to best fit her client’s distinct needs. Ashley is also trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help her clients process and reduce the power of their painful past experiences.
Ashley graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with her Master of Education in Professional Counseling and an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health. Ashley is also recognized as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). Ashley specializes in working with adolescents and adults experiencing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, shame, self-injurious behaviors, and eating disorders.
In her free time, Ashley loves visiting with friends and family, taking her dog (Teddy) for walks, kayaking, and spending time outdoors. Ashley also enjoys practicing yoga, reading, and watching her favorite shows on Netflix.
